NEWS UPDATE - New Way of Working

Alsager Partnership - New Way Of Working

On Wednesday 27th January 2021 at Alsager Partnership’s Annual General Meeting announcements were made regarding a New Way of working for the year 2021/2022 starting in April.

John Poulson stepped down as Chair of the Partnership after 6 years in that role and the Management team and the Forum members thanked John for his commitment to the Partnership over that period and the many projects/events that have been achieved over that time.
John takes over the Treasurer position and Arthur Harding application for Chair was accepted....

Kath Reader retains her position as Vice Chair and lead for the Dementia Project.

Shay Norman continues to Chair the Youth Forum.

Lou Davis will manage the Partnership Web and Social Media outlets.

We are always on the lookout for more Team Members!!

The new way of working for the Partnership has been brought about by the impact that Covid-19 Pandemic has had on our projects/events and the reduction in funding from the Town Council for 2021/2022.

With this in mind we are concentrating on four key elements:

Health & Well Being – The Partnership has always had a strong emphasis on Health & Well Being in our community and will continue through its Dementia Working Group to engage with those living with Dementia and their carers as well as keeping in touch with other organisations to obtain information/advice as well as sharing good practice.

Youth Forum - Youth Friendly Alsager is the theme of the Youth Forum and the aim is to engage with youngsters of all ages but particularly youth where we will look to add value to what is already available in terms of activities as identified in the Youth Project Issue 1.2, published in March 2019. Youth Forum meetings will continue to work with Alsager Youth and use allocated funding to identify and implement projects.

Business Forum - Alsager “High Street” has seen many changes over the past 10 years with businesses opening and closing and a re-emphasis on more leisure activities with the growth of coffee shops and eating places.
To keep the High Street as a sustainable environment Alsager Partnership is intending to have a focus on our business community so that we can find ways of engaging with them to explore opportunities that will benefit them as well as benefiting Alsager and the work the Partnership does.

Social Media/Web Updates -The Partnership Social Media and Web outlets is key in distributing information out to our community of what the Partnership is doing as well as supporting the communication of projects/events/information from all our community partners.

Alsager Partnership will continue to pursue its vison through Projects and initiatives and will use the coming months to look at how we can move on from the lockdown constraints that have prevented doing what we do best for our community.
