All About Health, Wellbeing & Fitness

It was All About Health, Wellbeing & Fitness on 2nd February, when Alsager Partnership delivered a spectacular event that focussed on health awareness and prevention.  With over 50 health, wellbeing and fitness organisations represented, there really was something for everyone that included advice on diet, nutrition and weight-loss amongst many other subjects.

There was also a varied selection of health-related checks that included blood pressure checks, metabolic scales, BMI & feedback, body fat measurements, spirometry lung checks, atrial fibrillation, reflexology sample treatments, head massage, hand massage, reiki, alongside giveaway mini facials/goodie bags and other taster therapies.

This year there was a real focus on YOUTH.  Maria Ashdown, Project Manager for Alsager Partnership said: “As part of the Partnership’s action plan this year, we have established youth as a priority in Alsager and so wanted to make this a big part of our Health & Wellbeing day.  We were, therefore, so pleased to have organisations represented to support counseling for young people, sexual health, support for emotional health in children/young people and their families, young carers support in addition to lots of guidance on exercise and fitness”.

Joining the exhibitors on the day was Personal Trainer, Pro-Athlete & Figure Model, Tessa Williams, who lives in Alsager (pictured right).  Last year Tessa came 2nd place in the WBFF Worlds in Las Vegas. She trains herself and her clients out of Caveman Training based in Newcastle & Fenton, she has an incredible fitness journey and visitors really appreciated her advice on diet, nutrition and exercise.

Feedback on the day has been incredible, both from visitors and also exhibitors who found the event a really useful networking tool.
